This Russian Orthodox Church in Ninilchik, Alaska is one of the most photographed buildings on the Kenai Peninsula. The changing light of the seasons and the proximity to mountains and ocean make for many different moods. The top photo was at sunrise in February with the full moon setting in the west. The right hand shot was at high noon in mid August. The one below left was late winter at sunrise and on the right is comet Hale-Bopp over the church on 3/28/97. |
